Worth 17 euros for the campsite

A relaxed start with a stroll to the local boulangerie to plan our day. The coffee was a bit rubbish so we moved on to a bar and bought a seat on the tourist train.

The campsite is so central and interesting that the tourist train passed 5m from our tent. We took that as a sign to move to a shadier spot at the campsite.
Today's date: 8.8.20

The tourist train was great for taking you to interesting places to be revisited later.
The city is very compact, with distinct commercial, clerical and military areas, each with different layouts and building styles. The cathedral is notable for a brightly tiled roof.
There were good views of the lake we will pass tomorrow and on towards the Jura mountains and Switzerland. We will be crossing a plateau that is the source of rivers that run to the North Sea, Atlantic and Mediterranean.
There is an old funicular railway that runs up to the City. We needed that yesterday.
Camping
A helicopter landed below us earlier. You can also look down on a stage used in the play yesterday evening.
A bonus here is that you can charge your phone while sitting in air-conditioned comfort in the washing block. Mrs M thinks this is sad so has a flat phone.
Food today was hit and mostly miss again so we had supper at the same restaurant as yesterday - we know it is good. Gazpacho and beer!

Tomorrow is a very early start to get as far as we can before it gets hot.
