Roman ruins

ree

It was raining heavily when we woke so we ran to the bar on the corner.

We took a coffee and croissant and planned our day. The city is compact with a simple road layout. There are sections of the Roman walls intact, together with some excavations and an amphitheatre.

A single ticket grants access to all the Roman sites and the local museum.

We toured the sites, making plenty of coffee, snack and gelato stops. The weather improved and we had lunch in the Piazza.

After lunch we did some shopping and planned our next week. The weather is getting better all week so the walk down the valley should be beautiful.

Today's date: 30.8.20

In the evening we sat in a bar and watched people pass. There were people of all ages taking a stroll.
