Our plan today was to complete the stage early and get back to Pavia for an evening out.
The Via leaves Pavia through various dull industrial parks. The route stays mainly on roads, some of which were quite busy.

The countryside was flat and there were scattered woodlands and factories amongst the fields.
It was hot but we made good progress and were pleased to meet Noelle who we last saw in Switzerland. Her husband is with her for a few stages. She says it was snowing when she crossed the pass a day after us.
We stopped at Belgioioso and had a really good piadina before catching the train. In the evening we just strolled around Pavia and had a light supper.
