Crosses
The morning was cool and fresh. We said goodbye to the campsite and walked the last km into town.

We bought food for lunch and a coffee and walked on along the Salon valley.
Today's date: 11.8.20
Weather: sunny with a shower
Steps: 33,952
Distance: 22.63 km
Climbing: 243 m
Champlitte had a lot of pilgrim signs and seemed a place that it would be interesting to linger.
There were lots of crosses by the road. The path ran through woodland and small fields.
We were chased by a grey cloud and it actually rained for the first time in an age.
We stopped in Framont for our picnic lunch.
Sometimes you just know that the via is taking you across a field to pass a cross in the distance.
The afternoon got very hot again and we stopped and drank in the cemetery in Montol.
Dampierre is strangely out of place. It has a big glass hotel and a strip-mall with a few shops. We stopped for a tea before walking up the hill to our accomodation.
B&B - Au Bon Vivant
A nice b&b with friendly and helpul hosts. We sat in the garden and had supper with them.
