Bar sur Aube to Rennepont

Vineyards
A breakfast in Troyes before catching the train back to Bar sur Aube. After a second breakfast we got a stamp at the tourist office and set off.
The climb away from the river Aube was steep but mostly under trees and the reward was a great view of the valley.
We walked through vineyards and up and down steep hills.

We followed the Via all day, stopping for a picnic near Baroville. After lunch the path ran mostly through woodland and there was more climbing than on other days.
The route passed near Clairvaux which is both an Abbey and a high-security prison.
Domaine Renneport
A lovely and relaxed stay in a large old manor house.
We shared a table at dinner with a Dutch family who are cycling to Nice in the South of France. The father is a travel journalist and is writing about their travels.
